Their future is unknown as they walk away from the only world they ever knew, into a world of desperate uncertainty. They are given a bus ticket to a place they don’t know, merely because the name of the village is on their birth certificate. There is no one there who wants them… they are orphans. Standing at a bus station with nowhere to go, they become the perfect target for the trafficker.
At this moment they are at their most vulnerable point.
A fake job and a false promise easily lure them into the back seat of a car, and they will
be gone forever… a victim of what is referred to as a silent genocide of a generation:

Over 400,000 young girls have been trafficked from Moldova to Russia, the Ukraine and other countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and East Asia. Women and children are subjected to sex trafficking in Moldova in brothels, saunas, and massage parlors. Increasingly, girls ages thirteen to fifteen are victims of sex trafficking. The average lifespan of a child sold into human trafficking is three to seven years.
The highest-ranking source countries for human trafficking—piling up human trafficking statistics daily— include Belarus, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Ukraine, Albania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Romania, China, Thailand, and Nigeria.
A human trafficker can receive up to 2,000% profit from a girl trafficked for sex.
The International Labor Organization estimates that there are 40.3 million victims of human trafficking globally.
