As you will read in her testimony, she came to us so broken, and she never heard a kind word in her life. She had never been hugged until she met the Cameron family. Please say a prayer of encouragement for Galina after reading her story!

Galina’s story:

My name is Galina. I am 21 years old. I was born in a very poor family with 5 siblings. We had to work hard every single day to afford the little food and clothing we had. My father was never around, and my mother was always too busy with men to care for us. Her boyfriend at the time was very mean to me and my siblings. He abused my mother and us daily. He would keep all the food to himself and tried to starve us countless times. My mother was drunk most of the time. I still remember those days when we had to beg people in the village for food.

If I had to go through what I did to meet them and learn about God, then it was worth it. Through them God rescued me and changed my life.

Because of the poverty we lived in, we ended up in the orphanage. I was not accepted by the other kids at the orphanage, I was always rejected by them and I was never allowed to be part of their games or groups. I felt so unwanted and lonely, I felt no one knew I existed. My mother never came to visit me or my siblings when we were in the orphanage. She had forgotten about my existence and that had hurt me more than anything else, because it meant that the men in her life were more important than her children.

The day came when I had to leave the orphanage, the only place I called home. I was only 16 years old, now having to live on my own, on the streets. All I could think is that there was no place for me in this world. I thought to myself that I was nothing but an orphan, with no where to go and no one to care for me.

The day I met the Cameron family, I found out that God had a purpose for my life all along. The Cameron family had a place for me. They took me in, now I am part of Stella’s Hands. When I look into the eyes of kids of where I was once, it shows me how far God has taken me, and I am filled with excitement of where He will lead.

If I had to go through what I did to meet them and learn about God, then it was worth it. Through them God rescued me and changed my life. I am thankful for the opportunity he has given me to attend school for Music, to become a teacher. Please pray for me and the rest of us at THE ORPHANS HANDS, as God continues to lead and use us in ministry to the lost and broken in Moldova!
